5 great exercises for flat abs.

Before you read on, why do you need flat abs?

- martial artists with guts (the flabby kind) are heavy and speed is important
- looking good

- muscle over fat equals more torque twisting power for punches and kicks

On with the exercise

1.The Bicycle exercise is the best move to target the rectus abdominis (i.e., the 'six pack') and the obliques (the waist)

2. i call this the back breaker. but heck, the plank works, just keep that tummy tucked in for 30 seconds and you'll be cursing away, if you still have breath left to curse

3. Now this is easy to do at 90 degrees, increase the difficulty by holding your leg at 45 degrees. another back killer.

4. standard situps - keep your back straight and tense your abs, if your neck aches, you're doing it wrong!

5. V! just skip to the 1st minute (1:00)
